How The Ordinary’s Interactive Virtual Event Created New Formula Collection

The Ordinary’s virtual live stream event was a success in terms of turnout and inspiration for a new functional beauty line. The event was hosted by DECIEM CEO, Nicola Kilner, along with her team of research and development associates. Over ten thousand viewers tuned in to participate in the YouTube live stream. In that, the consumer survey received over four thousand individual entries. 

After the event, the company spent months in the process of experimenting with the ideas and inspiration that it gathered from the feedback. There has not yet been an official statement disclosing all of the product ingredient specifics. However, there have been several hints of insight shared across The Ordinary’s social media platforms as to what the formulas may be. The revealed information suggests that the new consumer-influenced line will include products for eyelashes, brows, and lips. 

The Ordinary originally gained its footing with its signature, honest, and affordable skincare formulas. The brand has since come out with a few makeup products that honor its direct style and dedication to clean beauty. Such products that they currently offer include a primer, concealer, and two foundation formulas. This new line will be a unique addition as The Ordinary will further apply its strong background in skincare to its makeup approach. 

During the virtual live event, DECIEM employees demonstrated a segment in which they explained their most popular products and uses in detail. Since the transparent and technical product names can be confusing to new users, the team is dedicated to properly informing customers and helping them incorporate applicable products into their routine. Representatives of The Ordinary will continue to provide similar practical support for the products in the new collection once it is officially available.
